Jordan McNeil was born on November 26, 1998 in South Hill, Virginia to Shauna McNeil. He departed his life to be with the creator on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the age of ten years old in Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, Virginia.  He attended the Victoria Elementary School in Victoria, Virginia. Jordan was a very bright and intelligent student. Jordan was loved by his teachers and classmates. His favorite subjects in school were reading and history, and he also loved to study different animals. One of Jordan’s favorite hobbies to past time was watching cartoons (Avatar, Spiderman and Batman).  Jordan was a very quiet and loving person who was known to be a clown and will always be missed.  He leaves to mourn in his passing his mother, Shauna (stepfather) Marshall Phillips, Jr.; two sisters, Aniya and Jakayla; his grandmother Esther Mantez (James), Rosa Phillips, (Marshall, Sr.); his five uncles, Jason, Tyrell, Marcus, Thomas, Christopher; three aunts, Tomisha, Chanel, and Amber; three great uncles, Jacob (J.C.), Micheal, Albert (Rab); two great aunts, Velma (Susie), Marilyn and a host of relatives and friends. Much love goes to his extended aunts, Arcella Merritt, Annette Hazelwood and his uncle Christopher Hurt (Tanya). Jordan had many others who cared and played a meaningful role in his life. So if we as a family have forgotten you on paper, remember we haven’t in our hearts.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at Peoples Community Center, Victoria, VA with Reverend Fredrick H. Bagley, Jr. Eulogist. Interment was in the Jennings Family Cemetery, Victoria, VA.  S. P. Jones and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
